send to program button

I would like to have a send to program button (or a dropdown) where I can send the scanned document. i.e. I choose the portable thunderbird in the settings by showing its path, when I click the button, the scanned document is sent to the program...

OCR text scan editable in MS Word

Having a OCR is useful only where the scan can be edited in a Word document for use as required. As it stands, the OCR scan is pointless as it is saved to a fixed file as is.

Scan several items individually from the same platen

Good graphics programs, and the Canon and Epson software I use have the ability to individually scan several photos on the scanner platen but create separate files for each photo.

Have brightness & contrast show in real time

Most programs ie photo editors and scan software have the ability to show the changes in brightness and contrast show in real time.
